Ceremony to Reception…Many bridal magazines these days encourage couples to look for venues where both ceremony and reception can be held in the same location. While this can be a cost-effective, guest-friendly option (no traveling from church to reception site), what they don’t always talk about are the logistics of how those transformations actually happen. The photos (generously provided by the team at Blueberry Creative) provide a glimpse of how our venue, Bakery 105, is transitioned from ceremony to reception. The same brick wall featured in the ceremony photo can be seen later as the backdrop for the head table.
When does this magic happen, you ask? Immediately following the ceremony, the wedding guests move to the garden courtyard for cocktail hour while our talented Bakery 105 catering staff sets about “flipping the space” for the reception to follow. Typically, there is a relatively short period of time for this transition to take place, but with some stellar logistics and planning…these “flips” have become common place in both of our venues. The crucial “x factor” is ensuring there is a place for your guests to go while the room is being transformed. (There is not a wedding professional on the planet who wants to make this transition happen while your wedding guests are standing off to the side.) For the Bakery 105 brides, the garden courtyard fulfills the “x factor” requirement and can be tented for inclement weather.
As for this beautiful pair…on their special day? Simply lovely. That’s about all we can say for Beth and Josh {6.11.16}. Without question, the warm natural elements marry beautifully with the “touch of glitz” found in the pale gold sequin linens, bridesmaids dresses, and cake design. And, the softly muted color palette allows all of the details to shine harmoniously together without competing for the attention. In other words, it all “gels”. We love this!
Let your eyes feast.
